About Us

The Outreach Center is a volunteer run community service organization. Our mission is to help ensure the local availability of human and social services by providing support and physical space for programs and services.

In addition to the programs listed at below, community and private use of the building is welcomed. Our building is or has been host to: Girl Scouts, North Creek Quilters, Baby’s Play place, tai chi, yoga and dance classes, TOPS, weddings, baby showers and more. Having a party, award ceremony or need meeting space? We have a large main room, small conference room for meetings of up to 12, and a comfortable counseling room. Call to reserve.

The Outreach Center has been able to maintain and grow this array of programs and services in part because of 100’s of volunteer hours, generous gifts and donations from all who support its work and the vision and leadership of the Board of Directors.

How Can You Help ?

By donating your time, money or goods. With gratitude, we accept donations of:

Cash/ check - every dollar donated to the Johnsburg Food Pantry goes toward the purchase of food through the Regional Food Bank. Money donated directly to the Outreach helps to keep the lights and heat on and goes toward improvements in the building itself. Donations may be made in person at the Outreach, through Paypal by clicking on the "donate" button below,  or mailed to : PO Box 201, North Creek, NY 12853.

Non-perishable food items – As always, the need for food is great. We welcome donations of canned goods and other non-perishables. If your organization would like assistance with conducting a food drive to benefit the Pantry, give us a call!

Clothing and linens – The Family Clothing Center accepts clothing, curtains and bedding in excellent condition. There is a drop box at the rear of the building, or stop by during regular hours.

Time – Just a couple of hours a week would make a big difference to our community. Come help out in the food pantry, the clothing center, the community garden or GED program. Have computer or office skills? We always need help with data entry, filing or volunteer coordination.
